Know your competitors. Catch what crosses the line.
Competitive intelligence extends Fraudox brand protection to the companies you compete with. We analyse what they do in public, check whether they are using your content or your name, and assess their conduct against unfair competition and advertising rules. Where something crosses the line, you get the evidence and the route to act on it.
What the analysis covers
Three questions in one service: what are they doing, are they using what is yours, and is it fair competition.
Competitor analysis
How your competitors position themselves: their offers, product lines, messaging, channels and online presence, compared side by side with yours.
Ad and campaign analysis
The ads and campaigns they run in public: creative, claims, landing pages and the audiences they are speaking to, and where those claims overlap with yours.
Content theft detection
Whether they are copying you: text, photos, product images, videos, ad creative, designs and course material, shown side by side with the dates that establish which came first.
Brand and trademark misuse
Your name or trademark in their ads, keywords, domains, handles and hashtags, along with lookalike branding and comparisons that imply a connection with you.
Unfair competition analysis
Conduct such as passing off, misleading comparisons and false claims, assessed against trademark, copyright and advertising rules and each platform's own policies.
Competition rules brief
A plain-language brief on the competition, comparative advertising and trademark rules in the markets you operate in or plan to enter, and how they apply to your situation.

Which competitors, which markets and what you want to find out. We scope it and quote it.
Collect
Analysts gather their public activity: websites, social accounts, ads, listings and published content.
Compare and assess
A person compares it with your brand, establishes what came first and assesses it against the relevant rules.
Report and act
You get the report. Copied content can go straight into our takedown workflow, with the evidence ready for filing.
Competitive intelligence FAQ
What is competitive intelligence? +
It is the structured analysis of what your competitors do in public: how they position themselves, what they sell, how they advertise and how they compete. Everything comes from publicly available information, so it is research rather than espionage.
How can you tell whether a competitor copied our content? +
We compare the material side by side and establish which came first, using publication dates and the earlier versions on record. You get the two versions together with their dates and sources, which is also what a platform needs to see in a copyright report.
What can we do if a competitor is using our content? +
A competitor copying your work is handled like any other infringement. We can file copyright reports with the platform or host carrying it, and trademark reports where your registered mark is being used. Where it calls for a legal letter, the evidence is ready for your lawyer.
Is the competition analysis legal advice? +
It is analysis and evidence, written for your lawyer to act on. Fraudox is a brand protection company, so your counsel makes the legal call and we give them the facts, the documentation and the relevant rules to work from.
Will our competitors know we are looking? +
We work from public information and do not contact the companies being analysed.
Is this a one-off report or an ongoing service? +
Either. You can order a single report, or keep a set of competitors under ongoing watch and receive reports as things change.
How much does it cost? +
It is quoted on scope: how many competitors, which markets and how deep the analysis goes. You do not need a Fraudox plan to order it.
