Do I need to have registered a copyright? +
No. In most countries you own the copyright in your work the moment you create it, with no registration step. That is why this works for individuals: you do not need a trademark, a company, or any paperwork to have your own video removed.
How do I prove the content is mine? +
Usually the original upload is enough: the earlier post date, the project file, the raw footage, the higher-resolution version, or the account the work was first published from. We tell you which of these the specific platform wants before you send anything.
How long does it take? +
Copyright removals on the major platforms are usually the fastest thing we file, often within 24 to 48 hours, because the process is well established. Leak sites and file hosts that ignore everyone take longer, and we say so at the start rather than leaving you guessing.
They keep re-uploading it. Is that worth reporting each time? +
Yes, and it is worth doing through us rather than one at a time. Repeat removals against the same channel build a record with the platform, and that record is what eventually gets the account itself actioned rather than just the latest upload.
Can you get the whole leak site taken down, not just the one link? +
We go after the file host and the page carrying the file, not only the link, so the same copy does not reappear an hour later on the same drive. Taking down an entire site is a slower path through its host and registrar, and we will tell you honestly how likely it is in your case.
What if the person says it's fair use? +
Some re-uploads genuinely are commentary, review or parody, and those are harder to remove and sometimes should not be. We will tell you when we think a case falls that way instead of filing something that will be reversed. A straight re-upload with no added commentary is not fair use.
